year again, UBritney.com
presents The Britney Birthday Project. In
the past, the project featured special Britney content such as
videos and various goodies. This time,
we're changing things around and giving you, the fans, the
opportunity to send Britney your Birthday wishes. It's time to
be creative!
The cool part is, Britney will actually see you work!
It's your chance to let her know what you've always wanted to
tell her. Also, among all the entries I receive, I'll pick 1
random name. This lucky fan will get a free download of
Circus (Deluxe Edition) on iTunes.
I
just want to thank you all for sending in your entries
and for taking time to come up with your very own
project. Given that I didn't give much time for you to
work on your stuff and send it all in, I was happy to

and you made my life happier and easier.

I just wanted to tell you “Happy Birthday”
and that I wish I could be in New York City
getting ready to see you take the stage on Good
Morning America. Instead, I’m stuck in Texas
studying to get into graduate school.
It’s
funny how time flies. When I became a fan of
yours, I was 16 and it was around Christmas of
1999. I kept watching whatever TV events had you
as a guest because I wanted to criticize; then I
realized that it was stupid reason to tune in
and that it must be because I was a closet
Britney fan. Then again, who isn’t a Britney
fan?
Now,
I’m 25…a college graduate who is looking to
get back into college. Weird. Through the years,
I’ve grown to love you more and more as a
person who can state their dreams and make them
happen. I don’t know many people like that in
my daily life, so it’s brilliant to watch you
do it at a pretty consistent level. I don’t
want to dwell on your past couple years, hell, I
don’t want to dwell on my past couple years,
but I would like to say that me along with all
your other fans are so happy with all the pages
you’ve turned. And we want you to know that
we’ll be behind you pushing you toward every
dream you ever concocted with all our might.
I
really believe through conversations with other
fans of yours that you have been able to get us
through some very rough times in our lives with
your music. I have read several fans’ accounts
about how they came out of the closet to their
parents only to have been thrown out on the
street, etc. and how you were their only
semblance of truth and happiness.
Though
I do not know anything about what you have dealt
with, I would like to say that you gave me the
strength to confront an ailment that was taking
over my life since I was in grade school. I lost
twenty pounds in about three weeks due to
Generalized Anxiety Disorder and a minor bout of
Depression mixed with a mild case of Obsessive
Compulsive Disorder; aren’t I a mess? I
didn’t mind the losing of weight so much, ha
ha, but it came through an unhealthy way of
living in a prison cell called home. It got so
bad I couldn’t get out of bed. But now, it’s
been a year and 1) I am more outgoing and less
worried about each and every mundane detail and
2) I gained my twenty pounds back. BOO. The only
thing that would make me feel calm through the
situation was your music. So, thank you from the
bottom of my heart.
In
whatever way, I hope that your fans have been a
small beam of light that has caught your eye
when you needed to remember there was a brighter
day or destination; you were our light.
You
are a beautiful soul, performer, singer, and
mother. I cannot wait to see all the chapters of
your life that you’d like to share with us.
You have given us more than we could ever, ever
pay back to you in any way, shape or form. None
of us should let the past dictate who we are, we
should let it be part of we will become.
Despite
everyone’s differences, we all make wrong
turns, get into tough spots that are hard to get
out of; it is a part of living life, but we
don’t have to tread the same path. We should
make new ones; eventually we’ll get to where
we’re supposed to be. I hope you have an
incredible day, week, month, year, and decade.
