I was browsing through my archives for the production of this celebration and I simply couldn’t believe how the site has changed through time and how much work I did put into it. UBritney.com is now one of the oldest Britney fan sites out there. That’s surreal… I remember looking up at old sites when I opened back in 2002 and telling myself “wow, look at what they accomplished.” I really hope I’ve inspired people along the way, too.

It’s also impressive all the things I covered. It’s been 5 years in Britney’s life and 5 years in mine, too. Things changed a lot since the begining but the passion and the main goal are still there. All I always wanted to do with the site was to bring people closer to Britney. And I think I did that. The idea wasn’t to start up a site to just post whatever Britney Spears. I wanted a site to show my love for her and to respect the person that she is. From a fan, for the fans.

It’s been a while and there’s so much I would want to say. From the old days (which I loved) with real Britney fan sites such as BritneyCS.com, TotalBritneyAccess.com, BSLive.org… To now… Things changed and I experienced that, I noticed that. Newcomers thinking they knew everything, telling me what to do and how to act. The thing they don’t know is: Some were there before them and almost everything has been done. And I don’t have anything against those new sites out there. The wheel keeps spinning and there has to be a new generation. Only I feel like the quality isn’t the same anymore. It used to be totally different. Some of you will remember that era…

But, UBritney.com will remain this way, like it’s always been, with the same principles. With new projects, new stuff, of course. But the base is still the same and I don’t want to change the vibe. I hope you guys feel it: The way I see it all. It’s hard to renew yourself and come up with new stuff when you’ve done so much already… But I’ll do my best to just re-invent the site as time goes by. I want to.

I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all the love and support. You’ve been there since the very begining and made of the site the success it is today. I can never thank you enough for that. You’ve been a part of a dream of mine. There’s still a lot to come, you’ll see. A part of the book has been completed, but a new chapter is just being written.
