Britney Tweeted about the San Fransisco/Oakland auditions:
Gotta say, the talent in SF was on fire! I'm definitely impressed. Sad 2 say bye to @SimonCowell @ddlovato @LA_Reid though. Till nxt time...
Also, Perez Hilton got to attend yesterday's auditions in San Fransisco and here's what he had to say about Britney (only positive stuff... for a change).
What a night!
PerezHilton.com had the EXCLUSIVE pleasure of attending the X Factor San Francisco auditions Monday night where we got an up close and personal look at our two FAVE gorgeous ladies Britney Spears and Demi Lovato, along with fellow judges Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid.
The crowd was on FIYAH as they cheered on their favorite contestants all throughout the night - and boy, does the Bay Area have some major talent!
But, their support for the hopefuls was nothing compared to the screams that were heard across the arena for their favorite judges! And, yes, of course we're talking about Mz. Brit Brit herself! Our beautiful Southern blossom was clearly the fan favorite of the night. She had the audience hanging on her every word and begging for more after each one of her commentaries.
Whether her feedback was positive and supportive or she just blurted out a sweet and simple "No" (y'all), the Louisiana belle had the crowd feeding out of the palm of her hand. She even made up some brilliantly delicious new words such as "magnificento!"
Ha!
Britney was definitely a bright ball of sunshine at the judges' table, remaining super positive throughout the night. BUT, she knows how to play with the big boys too. She delivered with a lot of great pointers and constructive criticism to the contestants who needed it - all with a flash of her beautiful smile, of course!
When a hopeful attempted to do Whitney Houston's I Have Nothing, Brit put her hand up and blurted out:
"You can't ruin that song, sweetie."
That's our little Femme Fatale!
And, of course, her main squeeze Jason Trawick sat near her, watching her every move like the handsome Prince Charming that he is.
Britney Spears became emotional when a familiar face showed up at the San Francisco auditions for The X Factor on Sunday – and revealed a personal secret.
When a male contestant stepped onto the stage at the Oracle Arena, "You could see that Britney recognized him straight away," a source tells PEOPLE. "She got this huge smile on her face and her eyes lit up. It was so sweet."
"I know him," said Britney, who was sitting on the panel with Simon Cowell, L.A. Reid and Demi Lovato. "We did a duet together 10 years ago."
When the singer started to cry and told the judges and the audience, "I'm gay," the audition became emotionally charged.
"At the time I didn't think I was worthy," he told Britney. "I didn't think you thought it was okay that I am gay."
Britney was nothing but supportive. "I think it is fine you are gay," she said.
"When he started crying and saying he thought he'd never see her again and that he'd had a lot to deal with, Britney was comforting him to calm him," the source says.
But during his audition, Britney was visibly shaken.
"She's been through a lot in those 10 years, too, so it must have been a shock for her to see him," the source says. "You could tell she was emotional and she really felt for him especially when he was crying, but she also stayed calm."
In the end, Britney gave the singer a typically straightforward critique.
"She handled it unbelievably well and really stepped up to the situation," says the source, who would not confirm the identity of the singer or whether he made it through the audition. "It was probably the most personal and emotional situation for her that's happened so far on X Factor, and she took it totally in stride in front of a live audience of thousands."
Don Philip also posted the following message on his Facebook:
Tonight i might have sealed my music career fate according to a certain music mogul. I tryed to just be real and instead it totally got turned around on me. . Perhaps this was not the place for me to reveal my very soul and obstacles of my past. Certainly not the place for a reunion … I promise I only had good intentions in mind.. There is one problem my good intentioned comments and revelation were refereed by two pompass arrogant men. My voice froze i started to sing when I was told to but I could not recover from what felt like a really hardcore interogation. I guess I am not as tough skinned as I thought….Wait it gets worse.. when I looked into the very eyes of my old label mate and saw she to was sad.I knew the whole situation was spinning out of control.. my heart broke.. I am numb
Britney Tweeted about the San Fransisco/Oakland auditions:
#SFactor is bringing it - auditions are fierce today... RT @LA_Reid Day2 @TheXFactorUSA SanFrancisco auditions. Superstars where are you
Another fun day of judging w/ @SimonCowell @ddlovato @LA_Reid. The audience was so sweet! I hope tmrw's talent is ready to wow us all....
Something quite special and awkward also happened during the 2nd day of auditions when Don Philip, who appeared on Britney's song I Will Still Love You from the ...Baby One More Time album, auditioned. Here's how it went down:
Ok so this guy walks out and I think he says his name and then he starts crying. Everyone in the crowd is like wtf?! So then he looks at Britney and says
“I never thought I would see you again”
So then the judges, myself, and much of the crowd think he is talking about her breakdown so everyone flips shit but then Britney says “please dont cry” followed by “no no no its okay its because we did a duet together about 10 years ago” and then she says his name, so at this point I’m just like
So then he talks about how he has been a backup singer and how he wasn’t himself when he last saw Britney and how the past 10 years have changed him blah blah blah
LA Reid asks him how he has changed or why he is different.
The dude comes out of the closet and says he is gay and the crowd claps.
He then says that he didn’t do it before because his parents thought it was bad to be gay and that Britney also thought that it wasn’t good for him to be gay.
THEN IM LIKE WTF!!! YOU MOTHERFUCKER
I look at the little camera screen and I see a close up of Britney’s face like wtf?! and shes like “no no I didn’t say that”
and then LA Reid stops her and tells him that he has made her really uncomfortable and he needs to stop speaking, Simon follows up and basically says the same thing and tells him he needs to shut up.
The crowd tells him to sing a song, chanting. Finally he sings and he is horrible.
While he was performing Demi leaned over to Britney to probably ask her about the situation and they started whispering for like 20 seconds and probably exchanged the story on the situation.
He finished his audition and when its Britney’s turn to comment she says
“I feel that you’ve been a lot through the past 10 years but I believe that you could’ve prepared better for your audition and practiced more on your vocals” something along those lines but she said it very nicely and respectfully
FLAWLESSLY HANDLED. Everyone started clapping.
I still can’t believe this happened. I was so pissed for the rest of the auditions but
XFactorney is in the building for the first day of auditions in San Fransisco/Oakland, California. She looks stunning, once again!
They obviously heard of the Britney Vs. Demi rumors because the girls are Tweeting each other, being all sweet and all. Good thing they are proving the press wrong.
Britney Tweeted fans on her way to the auditions, saying:
I'm glad @SimonCowell is feeling better... I know @ddlovato, @LA_Reid & I aren't cutting him any slack today! #SFactor
