Britney's 3rd and self-titled album Britney turns 8 years old today. The Britney era marks, in my opinion, the beginning of Britney's sexier and raunchier image. It was her taking a whole new direction with her music and image. You have ...Baby One More Time and Oops!... I Did It Again. Then Britney in the middle which separates what Brit had been doing and what she'd do in the future. Finally you have In The Zone, Blackout, Circus and the rest. The Britney era will always be a special one for me because this is when I launched. How time flies...

Jet-lagged Britney cancels full dress rehearsal


Britney Spears is still managing to keep out of sight while in Perth.

And the reason might be she's been tucked up in bed at the Hyatt Regency suffering a strong dose of jet lag.

Fans, media and paparazzi have been unable to get a glimpse of the star since she landed in Perth in her private jet on Wednesday morning. Rumours are circling that she has cancelled her planned full dress rehearsal and instead will conduct a simple soundcheck on her own before heading back to her hotel.

The show (or at least the rehearsal) is expected to go on without her.

Britney now in Perth and ready for Circus show


Britney arrived in Perth on a private jet this morning ahead of her first Australian concert tour, which starts in Perth on Friday.

The American pop queen - who has had more than her fair share of sensational headlines - touched down at Sydney airport just after 3am Perth time today.

She then boarded a private jet for Perth. Spears touched down in Perth about 9am, with her plane taxiing into a private hangar.

TIGHT SECURITY: A vehicle with blacked out windows, believed to be carrying Britney Spears, disappears into the Hyatt Hotel.

She was ushered into a waiting van, disappointing autograph hunters.

Police, paparazzi and fans had converged on the airport for her arrival. She has since been spotted at the Hyatt, with sources stating that her entourage are residing at the Sheraton.
