A fan's review of yesterday's concert in Atlanta

Here's a review Britney (but not Spears) sent me. She attended yesterday's concert in Atlanta and had an amazing time. She also revealed to me that Britney interacted with the crowd more this time around.
quote:

Dear Kevin,

My name is Britney Leigh and I went to see my girl last night in atlanta. I can't even begin to tell you how amazing the concert was. She was full on, so energized and interacted with the crowd before she sang everytime. She said "How are you guys feeling, Atlanta?" and she couldn't even sing right away because so many people were screaming for her she had to say "Ok, Ok calm down guys." Lol. But her dancing was right on, every step and yeah she lip synched but the tracking was so professional it was hard to tell. Plus honestly if you go to a Britney concert you expect that because she is working her butt off. I have been a fan of hers and seen every concert to date. This one was the best by far. I don't know if it's cause I was rooting for her to have this huge comeback and she did and I feel so proud or if it's just cause this concert was Britney taking it to a whole new level. I just wanted to share my experience with you and your site. Our arena was sold out and everyone there was so excited to see her. If I had to pick a favorite part besides her acts it would be the Britney video sequence where all her videos are played to Break the Ice, Slave, and Womanizer mix or the Marilyn Manson set because she looked so hot and the mix was awesome. One thing I noticed is this show is not appropiate for under 15 crowd. Too many little kids there and parents leaving and probably going to complain. They should know better though. But anyways just thought I would tell you since some reviews say she didn't interact with the crowd, she did, twice and she was completely on her game! I had a blast!

The Pussycat Dolls on joining Britney's Circus

MTV.com: Opening for Britney Spears on her Circus tour would be a daunting task for anyone. But for the Pussycat Dolls, performing each night on Brit's massive in-the-round stage presents one rather unique challenge:

"You always wanna stay connected to the audience. That's why we're here, for the fans. So it's hard, because when you're on one side, your butt cheeks are facing everyone else. And when you go to another part of the circle, then your back is against someone else," PCD's Nicole Scherzinger laughed. "So you constantly wanna keep it moving and be able to spread the love everywhere, even though your backside is to some of the people."

And that's tougher than you would imagine. Still, the Dolls pulled it off on the opening night of Britney's Circus tour, managing to spread the love everywhere while still showing off the goods. That is pretty amazing, considering that less than 24 hours prior they were wrapping up the first leg of their own Doll Domination Tour half a world away.

"We just came back from Serbia," Scherzinger sighed. "We finished our leg of our tour - which is completely the opposite of this - and just landed last night. So we're still working ... just working everything out. It's pretty unbelievable."

"I used to dance for the Miami Heat, and we had to perform in big arenas, so I've done stuff like this before," Doll Jessica Sutta added. "But the first day is so ... it's so dizzying. The key is, you just have to find the focusing point - so you don't throw up."

And let the record state that no one in PCD threw up on opening night, which automatically qualifies it as a smashing success. And it'll only get better from here, as the Dolls say they're going to work their new version of "Jai Ho (You Are My Destiny)" - the Oscar-winning tune from "Slumdog Millionaire" - into upcoming stops on Britney's tour.

So fans heading out to dates might wanna get there a little earlier - the Dolls are far from just your average opening act.

"This whole show is amazing ... it's a perfect match, really," Doll Ashley Roberts said. "Britney Spears is truly a Pussycat Doll, and she's an icon and she's someone I have watched and always looked up to, as a triple-threat entertainer. So it's a perfect match - PCD and Britney Spears, in the circus."

Lets hear it from the fans

MTV.com: Britney Spears fans couldn't have been more proud to see that their girl has officially made her comeback. After not touring for five years, Spears kicked off her Circus tour Tuesday night in New Orleans, and her dedicated legion of fans admit that she looks better than ever.

Like most of the fans MTV News talked with briefly after the show, one female fan proclaimed to all her detractors that Britney is officially back. "We love Britney!" she told MTV News after the show. "She did a great job tonight. She rocked it! Britney is back!"

Another fan, whose friend described the show as "life-changing," added, "It was amazing. The comeback has officially begun!" Fans were excited to share the details of the show with MTV News by describing the aptly named tour as a full-on circus that included "midgets," fire and magic.

"We saw a full circus, baby," one fan said. "We are from New Orleans and we've watched Britney [from the beginning]," adding that Britney said she felt "at home" onstage in her home state. "She opened the tour with a bang."

Fans said she looked "amazing" and didn't skimp at the merch table. "I have everything," a fan named Justin told MTV News, adding that he even splurged on the "Britney popcorn bag." "It was amazing. Britney, don't worry about a thing, we love you!"

There was also one moment that really stuck out for a concertgoer. "She brought a random guest up onstage and danced in his face," the fan described. "It was hot!"

While the show was filled with people you might expect to see at a Britney Spears concert, MTV News managed to find a metalhead, who really put it all into perspective.

"I've seen Kiss, Disturbed, Korn and Ozzfest - this was the best!" he excitedly recalled. "I love you Brit. Will you marry me?"

Britney's cheering section includes family and Kevin

People.com: Britney Spears's comeback tour is getting rave reviews from those closest to the singer.

"Britney's whole family was there, her parents, [sister] Jamie Lynn, [brother] Bryan, his wife, her cousins [including] Laura Lynn [Covington], friends from Kentwood – everyone thought it was a fantastic show and she just nailed it," says a source close to Spears, referring to her kickoff concert Tuesday at the New Orleans Arena, the first stop on her 36-show tour.

Adds the source: "They all thought Britney was so amazing – her energy, her spirit."

Also in attendance: the singer's sons Preston, 3, and Jayden, 2, and their dad Kevin Federline. "He was there to support her as well," says the source, adding that the boys stayed backstage because "it's just too loud for them to watch."

The Cirque du Soleil-style show, which also got the thumbs-up from fans, marks the pop star's first tour in five years. New Orleans was the first stop for Spears, 27, who hits Atlanta on Thursday, followed by 10 shows on the East Coast.

"The show was completely sold out and it was just incredible," says the source. "Britney was just really happy."

Britney and the boys do Disney

OK-Magazine.com: With some time off between stops, comeback kid of 2009 Britney Spears did what every triumphant star does - she went to Disney World!

Brit-Brit, who launched her first tour in half a decade on Tuesday night in her home state of Louisiana, visited the Florida fun park on Thursday with her two adorable sons, Sean Preston, 3, and 2-year-old Jayden James.

The pop superstar, infamous for tooling around L.A. in her car, took Jayden and her assistant Brett Miller on the Tomorrowland Indy Speedway attraction at the Magic Kingdom.

The proud mom posed with her boys at Mickey's Toontown Fair at the Magic Kingdom.

Tonight, Britney continues her Circus tour with a performance in Atlanta.

Kevin bans the boys from seeing Britney's show?

It's from the Daily Mirror, so yeah, not reliable...

---

Mirror.co.uk: We're not the only ones who think Britney's Circus show is too risque for the whole family. Her ex, Kevin Federline, has barred the couple's two children from watching the performance.

After seeing her in action during rehearsals, K-Fed, 30, decided Sean Preston, three, and Jayden James, two, were a little too young for the raunchier parts.

So instead Britney, 27, treated her sons to a kiddie-friendly run-through of her 90-minute show at the New Orleans Arena. The trio had a tearful goodbye as the boys were collected afterwards - and returned to K-Fed.

A source said: "It was great for Brit to have the children around.

"There is so much riding on the tour that she had worked herself up and her nerves were getting to her.

"Seeing the boys before her big night helped to relax her. She let them see most of her numbers in rehearsals, but the really sexy ones she left until the late-night run throughs when they had gone home."
